I am Joanne, a qualified florist, with more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of the industry. I first realised my passion for flowers and all things floral when I was living in Germany and my coffee table vase was never empty. Here they celebrate every occasion with flowers, and even the men are happy and comfortable to receive floral gifts. They also have a high standard, and expect nothing less. The seed was sown! I returned to the UK and funded myself through college as a ‘mature student’, first at Sparsholt College in Hampshire, and then at Writtle College near Chelmsford. As part of my college course I was fortunate to be able to visit the Aalsmeer flower market near Amsterdam in Holland, the worlds largest flower auction. If you love flowers, and you haven’t been, you should put it on your bucket list!
I have worked in florist shops, freelanced and been home based. I have run workshops and given demonstrations. The one thing that has eluded me until now was my own shop. Finally a dream has come true. I believe in receiving and therefore providing the best customer experience by offering a personal bespoke service where we can have a one to one conversation about the flowers and design you are looking for.
Flowers are a luxury item for many these days, but they are also memory makers, and deserve the time, care and consideration in the choosing of the right blooms and design.
